Chairing & Leading Meetings Effectively
1x 3 hour, Online course (via Teams or Zoom) with a professional trainer and a maximum group size of 16 people.
Overview
Chairing a meeting is more than keeping to an agenda or ensuring everyone has a chance to speak. It is a leadership role that requires judgement, presence, clarity of purpose and the ability to guide discussion toward meaningful outcomes.
This practical and interactive course is designed specifically for team leaders, managers and senior leaders who formally chair group meetings, whether departmental meetings, cross-functional forums, boards, committees or strategic planning sessions.
It is not a course about conducting one-to-one meetings or supervision sessions. Instead, it focuses on the unique skills required to lead structured group discussions where multiple perspectives, competing priorities and organisational responsibilities must be balanced effectively.
This 3x hour live and online session is not a lecture-style course. It is designed as a highly interactive, learner-centered experience where participants learn through discussion, peer-to-peer learning, breakout sessions, case studies and practical scenarios. Delegates are encouraged to share their own experiences, explore challenges together and practice new approaches in a safe environment. The focus is on real application — building the confidence and capability to chair meetings that are purposeful, well-managed and productive.
