Coaching and Goal Setting

1 x 3 hour, Online course (via Zoom) with a professional trainer and a maximum group size of 16 people.

Overview

Coaching is a way of developing people and building teams and performance.

By coaching your team members as opposed to directly managing them, you are giving them the skills, knowledge and experience they need to succeed, whilst hopefully also drawing out of them their potential, commitment and expertise.

This fun and highly participatory online training session will teach delegates about coaching, and give them the skills and knowledge they need to be a better coach.

Who should attend?

Any elected member, officer or council employee who has a responsibility or interest in helping other people develop and improve.

  • GROW model for coaching
  • Questioning skills

Learning Objectives (success criteria)

Delegates will learn about coaching, its value, and when and how it can be used effectively.

Delegates will learn simple techniques and rules to help them become a great coach.
